Policies
The following policies explain our policies and procedures as they relate
to your potential order.
Pricing Policy
Prices are quoted in US dollars and are intended for US customers only.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors without notice.
Process, Prices, and Discounts
We buy products directly from our selected group of manufacturers. 50%
of the total order amount (including shipping and tax) is due at order
placement. The remaining 50% is due when the products are ready for delivery
or at the time of picking up your order.
Payment Methods
We accept all major credit cards, which typically process within 24 hours
of order placement. Merchandise cannot be held without payment. Prices
are subject to change until you have received an Order Acceptance from
House of Norway. Title of the goods does not pass to you, the customer,
until payment is received in full.
Shipping and Delivery
Your House of Norway purchases are normally delivered in our own trucks
within in a radius of 250 miles of our store (although we have been seen
delivering merchandise from Maine to Florida). Our standard delivery method
includes an appointment for delivery, unpacking and delivery inside, and
removal of all packing material. When it is necessary, the delivery crew
will also install or assemble the furniture for you. For some items, domestic
shipping is possible. Contact us for more information.
Order Status and Tracking
To check the status of your order, please call customer service at 973-227-3367.
Make sure you have your order number when you call.
Returns/Complaints/Damaged Goods
It is very important that you are there to personally receive and approve
the product when it arrives at your home to make sure that it is complete;
the accompanying paperwork is in order; and that the items are undamaged.
In exceptional circumstances, a product may arrive suffering minor wear
and tear from the shipping process. Please note that you must report the
damage immediately upon delivery by noting it on the Bill of Lading and
contacting the House of Norway Hotline at 973-227-3367. House of Norway
will not be held responsible for any damage not reported at the time of
delivery.
Cancellation Policy
We will attempt to cancel any unshipped order, provided you notify us
within 24 hours of placing your order. Please call 973-227-3367 for order
cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel items ordered or an entire
order for any reason whatsoever and will refund the full price paid for
each cancelled item. In such circumstances we will endeavor to contact
you without delay to explain why a cancellation was necessary.
Warranties
House of Norway takes pride in the products and services it offers. We
carefully advise you of the manufacturer's reputation, quality, and design,
but the actual choice and selection is your responsibility. Although we
cannot guarantee your pleasure in your selection, we warrant that all
merchandise will be delivered in a condition that meets standards set
by the manufacturer. Manufacturers do not guarantee fabrics or leather
against wear or color-fastness, nor do manufacturers typically assume
responsibility for defects past one year from the manufacturers' invoice
date.
